Carle Clinic's walk up clinic at Carle Clinic – Urbana on Windsor, will conclude Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 5 p.m. 

Injectable seasonal flu vaccine is no longer available but patients may still receive seasonal nasal FluMist ® vaccine.

Seasonal nasal FluMist ® vaccine may only be administered to healthy individuals ages 2 to 49. Those who should not receive FluMist ® include children taking aspirin, pregnant women and those with egg allergies, heart disease, lung disease such as asthma, diabetes, kidney failure or compromised immune system.

The Illinois Department of Public Health has changed its parameters and will allow individuals of any age to receive the H1N1 vaccine beginning Tuesday, December 15. 

H1N1 vaccine will be administered for a $10 fee and FluMist ® vaccine for $35. Patients are encouraged to bring insurance cards for billing.

RECALLED Pediatric h1n1 vaccine NOT USED AT CARLE CLINIC
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a voluntary recall December 15 on a specific group of pediatric H1N1 vaccine issued by manufacturer Sanofi Pasteur. Carle Clinic did not receive or administer any vaccine from this group. Champaign-Urbana Public Health District has verified that the vaccine was not received or administered in Champaign County. Children who received the vaccine are safe and do not need to be revaccinated.(more)
