Danville – Carle Clinic – Danville on Vermilion is sponsoring a free monthly support group for people who have been diagnosed with diabetes.
The group will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Danville Family YMCA, 1111 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, at 6:30 p.m. The first meeting will be held April 28.
Designed to provide educational, emotional and social support, group meetings will provide a comfortable setting for discussion and feature speakers on a variety of topics. The support group will be mediated by clinical dietitian Jean Land, MS, RD, LD, CDE, and diabetes nurse educator Karen Mbanza, RN. Discussions will include information on healthy eating, physical fitness and challenges people with diabetes face.
