The CDC’s National Survey of Family Growth estimates that infertility affects approximately 12 percent of the reproductive-age population in the U.S.
Carle Clinic will host a seminar for couples interested in learning more about fertility treatment options.
Thursday, October 16
6 – 8 p.m.
Carle Clinic – Urbana on Windsor, second floor conference room
1818 E. Windsor Road, Urbana
Nancy Fay, MD, division head of reproductive medicine at Carle Clinic, will discuss the multiple factors that can affect a couple’s ability to conceive.
“While women are half as fertile at 35 as compared to 25, there are many risk factors that can be controlled or modified. Male health is just as important.”
Dr. Fay and her staff will address concerns women may have, such as the effects of long-term birth control use or waiting until mid-30s to begin conceiving. The staff will also discuss risk factors for infertility, preconception health and testing, and ways to improve chances of conceiving by managing physical and emotional health. Additionally, the newest innovations in fertility treatments will be covered.
Located in a private area, Carle Clinic’s reproductive medicine program provides comfort and space for consultation and counseling as well as an on-site reproductive lab.
Registration is required for this complimentary seminar. Call (217) 255-9600.
