On March 17, the Illinois House of Representatives adopted a resolution recognizing pediatric gastroenterologist Terry Hatch, MD, for his 35 years of service to the citizens of Illinois. He was presented with House Resolution 185 by State Representative Naomi Jakobsson.
Fellowship trained and board certified in pediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Hatch joined Carle Clinic in 1973 and served as chair of Pediatrics from 1998 until his retirement in 2008. He was honored as one of America's Best Doctors® for 12 consecutive years.
Dr. Hatch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served in leadership positions with the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) and was honored for his contributions to continuing medical education with the ISMS 2007 Intrastate Accreditation Service Award. He is the author of 31 articles published in peer-reviewed publications and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Gastroenterologic Association, Downstate Illinois Pediatric Society and North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from Indiana School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Ind.
