Carle Clinic Southwest Champaign Location Now Open
7/21/2008
CHAMPAIGNCarle Clinic – Champaign on Curtis in southwest Champaign near the Interstate 57 Curtis Road interchange opens Monday, July 21. As part of a primary care project, an identical facility, Carle Clinic – Urbana on Windsor is also set to open August 4, 2008.

More than 40 providers will see patients in the 68,000 square-foot building which features more than 125 exam rooms and houses adult, family and pediatric medicine as well as a drive-up pharmacy. Dermatology, psychology and weight management services will relocate, along with Carle Clinic Convenient Care, which will now be situated two miles south of its original location at Mattis Avenue.

Carle Clinic’s Champaign locations on Kirby Avenue and Mattis Avenue will be renovated later this year for specialty services.

“The new centers will allow our staff more room to care for patients, and will provide our guests more comfort and privacy. We intend for the new facilities in Champaign and Urbana to become part of the community, our patient’s medical home,” explained Timothy Meneely, DO, Family Practice Physician and Medical Director of Primary Care and Pediatric Subspecialties at Carle Clinic.

The centers have been designed with efficiency in mind, as nearly 2,000 patients will be seen daily at the two new buildings. Patients will have the option of self-check in when they arrive to see their physician. This will allow families to review demographic information and pay co-pays, avoiding a potential wait.

Among the many other amenities, ample free parking is available as well as a child-friendly Pediatrics waiting room, on-sight imaging and lab services, and Latte Da café and coffee shop.

For more information about the new location of providers and services, patients can call (217) 383-MOVE or visit www.carle-clinic.com.
