DANVILLE - Carle Clinic Association will open a second location in Vermilion County to provide care for patients. The Clinic, at 311 W. Fairchild, is located in a renovated building on the northeast corner of Fairchild and Gilbert streets. It will allow for less congestion, more space for new physicians and comfortable patient care.
Vermilion Development Corporation purchased the property in September 2006 and renovated it for medical services provided by Carle Clinic Association. The building, a former retail store, has been transformed to provide top notch care in a beautifully designed facility.
“All of our primary care services will move into the new space. It will allow us the opportunity to expand services in the future. We look forward to hiring more doctors and providing additional services to our patients,” explained R. Bruce Wellman, MD, Carle Clinic President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Clinic is the first business to move into the newly formed tax increment finance (TIF) district in the heart of Danville.
“This is a central location in Danville, but the move also brings Carle to a place that’s more accessible for patients throughout the county. It shows Carle Clinic Association and Carle Foundation Hospital prioritizing Vermilion County,” said Dave Cocagne, Managing Director of Vermilion Development Corporation.
Carle Clinic will provide Adult Medicine, Convenient Care, Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry services in the new location. Laboratory and imaging will also be available. Carle Foundation Hospital will also relocate Carle Rx Express, Carle Home Health and Carle Medical Supply to the Fairchild location. All services open Monday, April 23, 2007.
Carle Clinic’s current location at 2300 N. Vermilion will be renovated in the coming months. This will allow for expansion of specialty services in Danville. Patients who need further testing, radiology and imaging or a specialist consultation will be able to stay in Vermilion County for a greater range of services. Physicians who practice in oncology, cardiology, orthopedics and other specialties will be able to offer more.
“We had outgrown our original Danville clinic. Now we’ll have more room to care for the people who need us and room to grow in the future,” said Jim Snider, Director, Carle Clinic - Danville.
