URBANA, IL –Carle Cancer Center, 609 W. University Avenue, Urbana, now offers a new support group specifically for family, friends and caregivers of anyone afflicted with cancer.
“Carle Cancer Center has support services for cancer patients but recognized that there were no services in the Champaign-Urbana area for individuals who give care and provide support to cancer patients,” said Molly Caldwell, LSW. “This support group is open to all family, friends and caregivers, not just those being treated at Carle Cancer Center.”
The support group meets monthly on the second Tuesday, 12 – 1 p.m., and fourth Tuesday, 7 – 8 p.m. Attendees will be provided lunch during noon meetings and light refreshments during evening meetings.
