This fall, Carle Clinic – Danville on Vermilion welcomes visiting specialists from Carle Heart Center in Urbana. Andrea Brasch, MD, and Reinaldo J. Sanchez-Torres, MD, will begin seeing patients in Danville in October, and Christine Perks, MD, will begin in early 2009. Danville’s full-time providers, cardiologist Malec Mokraoui, MD, and Bradley Grissom, APN, and visiting vascular surgeon Timothy Connelly, MD, will continue to see patients at the Vermilion facility.
With additional cardiologists, Danville on Vermilion will expand Cardiology access to patients and also offer more diagnostic tests with the new GE Infinia Gamma Camera. The nuclear imaging camera provides detailed information of the heart and vascular systems through non-invasive testing. Nuclear imaging began in Danville earlier this year after the GE Infinia was installed during renovations.
“With the visiting cardiologists rotating in from Urbana on the days Dr. Mokraoui is doing procedures, we can offer patients access to diagnostics provided by the nuclear camera five days a week,” said Denise Long, senior patient care manager at Carle Clinic – Danville on Vermilion.
