Carle is currently has several positions available for BE/BC Family Medicine physicians.

Practice Opportunity Details Include:
Traditional Family Medicine (Danville, Ill.)
- Two positions available; incoming physicians will work in Carle's primary care center in Danville.
- OB is optional.
- With two new physicians, the call schedule will be 1 in 5 weekday and every 5th weekend.
- Admitting privileges are granted at United Samaritans Medical Center (located in Danville approximately 2 miles from the new clinic). This is a 210-bed hospital (not a teaching hospital).
- The center has its own lab services, imaging department (digital mammography, ultrasound, a 64-slice CT, and a nuclear camera), and pharmacy.
- Danville has a population of 34,000.
- Located 90 minutes from Indianapolis, 2 hours from Chicago, and 3.5 hours from St. Louis.
- Home to Lake Vermilion (boating, skiing, and fishing), two state parks, a forest preserve, five golf courses, two country clubs, and a soccer complex.
Traditional Family Medicine (Mattoon-Charleston, Ill.)
- No OB; can do a great deal of GYN, if desired.
- Call schedule would be 1 in 6 weekdays and every 6th weekend (shared with Internal Medicine physicians).
- Clinic has its own lab, audiology services department, pharmacy services, endoscopy lab, and x-ray department.
- Home to Eastern Illinois University and Lake Land College.
- Population of 50,000.
- Mattoon-Charleston is located 2 hours from St. Louis, and 3 hours from Indianapolis and Chicago.
Traditional Family Medicine (Rantoul, Ill.)
- OB is optional
- Join four Family Medicine physicians and one PA
- 14-physician call group; each physician is on call two times per month, on average (1 weekday and 1 weekend)
- Opportunity to teach residents and/or medical students, if desired
- Position qualifies for both IDPH and RIMSAP loan obligation
- Incoming physician can live in Champaign-Urbana area (located 20 minutes away)
- Rantoul is located 2 hours from Chicago, and 2 hours from Indianapolis
Traditional Family Medicine (Champaign, Ill.)
- OB is optional
- Join six physicians and 2 NPs
- 14-physician call group; each physician is on call two times per month, on average (1 weekday and 1 weekend)
- Opportunity to teach residents and/or medical students, if desired
- Champaign-Urbana has a population of 180,000 and is home to the University of Illinois
- Located 2 hours from Chicago and Indianapolis, and 3 hours from St. Louis
Urgent Care (Danville, Ill.)
- No on-call; outpatient care only
- No panel of primary care patients
- Less than 40 patient contact hours expected weekly (usually between 35 - 38 hours/week)
- Six exam rooms
- Convenient Care Center
- Convenient Care has a dedicated area in the primary care center in Danville
- Open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday hours run from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Closed on holidays
- Currently 2 or 3 providers in the Convenient Care clinic at any given time (including physicians and midlevels).
- The incoming physician does not have to live in Danville; he/she can live in Urbana-Champaign (metro population of 195,000), which is approximately 40 minutes outside of Danville
- Danville is located 1 hour from Indianapolis and 2 hours from Chicago
Urgent Care (Urbana - Champaign, Ill.)
- Work 50% of the time in the pre-op center and 50% of the time in Convenient (urgent) Care
- No on-call; outpatient care only; no panel of primary care patients.
- Convenient Care Center
- Open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. year-round.
- Currently 3 providers in the Convenient Care clinic at any given time - usually, 1 MD and 2 midlevels.
- Urbana Preoperative Evaluation Center
- Open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Covered by physicians only.
- Urbana-Champaign (population 180,000) is located 2 hours south of Chicago, 2 hours west of Indianapolis, and 3 hours north of St. Louis.
