Support Services

No one fights cancer alone. We aim to help you cope with your diagnosis, treatment and everyday life through the following complementary services:

Social Work
Our team of licensed social workers provides support services for you and your family, connecting you to community resources, financial assistance and medical services you may need during treatment.

Support Groups
Carle Clinic support groups allow patients, cancer survivors and caregivers to meet and discuss the emotional aspects of cancer. All groups are free and open to all patients, regardless of where you receive treatment. Check our calendar of events for group details and meeting times.

Patient Advocates
Patient advocates are cancer survivors or family members who volunteer their time to support patients with cancer and bring patient issues to the forefront of research. They educate our community about clinical trials as an option for treatment through newsletters, support groups and educational symposiums.

Genetic Counseling
A licensed genetic counselor assess the risk of those with  family history of cancer and helps make decisions about screenings, preventive treatments or surgeries.

Transportation
Carle Cancer Center works with volunteers from the American Cancer Society and the community to provide transportation to appointments for patients in need of this service.
